As a feminist and multicultural practitioner I utilize evidence-based therapy that is grounded in strengths-based practice, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychoeducation, and SMART goal setting. I employ my training and skills to help clients foster habits, tools, and frameworks to increase their capacity for emotional-regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. We will collaborate to help you better understand your existing behavior patterns and more effectively create change in your future. I have work experience in diverse community settings including emergency department crisis services, patient and family support for cancer patients, legislative advocacy and public health campaigns, maternal and child health leadership education for neurodevelopmental disabilities, case management for unaccompanied refugee minors in foster care, and years of teaching in both private and public schools.
